2. Mix

Thoroughly blend the Active Corn Chops with the Untreated Corn Chops until the treated grains are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.

3. Deploy

Pour the finished mixture into an Avitrol baiting tray and place it at the approved baiting location according to your bird management plan.

Frequency

After you have successfully prebaited, pour the mix of untreated and active mixed grains into your baiting tray once weekly for 1–3 weeks, or until bird activity ceases.

What are Corn Chops Medium

Are a treated corn that are double rolled. It utilizes active ingredient, 4-aminopyridine that has been proven pain free for birds.

Is prebaiting required before using Avitrol-treated bait?

Yes. Federal law requires prebaiting before implementing Avitrol-treated bait. Untreated Corn Chops help prepare birds for treatment by encouraging consistent feeding behavior at the baiting location.

Where should Corn Chops be placed?

After mixing 1 part Active Corn Chops with 40 parts Untreated Corn Chops, pour the finished mixture into one of our baiting trays. Place the tray in areas where birds naturally loaf or feed, such as rooftops, ledges, I-beams, and other common congregation sites.

What do I do if the birds aren't feeding?

Check that the bait is placed where birds are actively feeding and that alternative food sources are limited. Birds may need several days to become comfortable with a new feeding location. If feeding activity remains low, contact our team for personalized guidance and baiting recommendations.
