Avitrol products entered the professional pest management industry, introducing 4-aminopyridine as an effective bird control solution for commercial and industrial applications.

Family-Owned Leadership

After Phillips Petroleum divested the business, Avitrol transitioned to private ownership. Kelly Swindle became a part owner and later acquired the company, establishing decades of family leadership.

1980

Nearly Four Decades of Trust

Under Kelly and Betty Swindle's leadership, Avitrol became a trusted name in professional bird control, helping pest management professionals, agriculture, food processing facilities, municipalities, and commercial properties solve complex bird problems across North America.

2010

Preparing for the Future

As the founders prepared for retirement, Avitrol successfully began the EPA re-registration process, ensuring the long-term future of the product line and reaffirming its commitment to the professional pest management industry.

2011

A New Generation

Longtime employee Tasheena Dillingham acquired Avitrol, preserving the company's legacy while continuing production, technical support, and customer relationships during the EPA re-registration process.
