Required
Pre-baiting is a federal requirement before deploying Avitrol Baits. This critical step maximizes bait acceptance and treatment effectiveness while ensuring compliance with EPA label requirements.
Application
Pour the bag of untreated mixed grains into the bucket. Add the jar of active mixed grains. Mix thoroughly using our bait mixing attachment.
Frequency
After you have successfully prebaited, pour the mix of untreated and active mixed grains into your baiting tray once weekly for 1–3 weeks, or until bird activity ceases.

Does Easy Blend come with Prebait?
Yes. Easy Blend comes with prebait with the proper ratio that is ready to be mixed with the live bait.
Do I still need to buy prebait?
Yes. Easy Blend comes with enough prebait to mix with live bait only. Federal law requires prebaiting before using Avitrol-treated bait, so you'll need to purchase Untreated Mixed Grains separately. Untreated Mixed Grains establish consistent feeding behavior at your baiting location, preparing birds for treatment with Avitrol products.
Where should I place Easy Blend?
Pour Easy Blend into one of our baiting trays and place it in areas where birds are already loafing, such as rooftops, ledges, and I-beams.
What do I do if the birds aren't feeding?
Check that the bait is placed where birds are actively feeding and that alternative food sources are limited. Birds may need several days to become comfortable with a new feeding location. If feeding activity remains low, contact our team for personalized guidance and baiting recommendations.
